A feature of a DownloadProtocol that allows P2P nodes to detect more download locations when contacting another node to download from. With this feature, nodes can learn of new sources without having to use the network's search facility. In Gnutella, this is used for PartialFileSharing.

Nodes that support this feature form a DownloadMesh.
