A couple of comments about this release:

1) Configure doesn't find system ocaml install. Linking patches to /usr does the trick.
2) Configure tries to exec 'uname -o', an option which my uname (Linux) doesn't have. Then 'buildinfo' displays:
Code:
Core was built with Ocaml 3.08.2 on  i686 2.4.29-grsec
Shouldn't it be 'uname -s'?

Thank you'all for keeping mldonkey up to date.

What does "ocamlc -v" say? Or config.log when Ocaml is not found in the first place.

I updated patch 3719 which will be in the next patchpack.

Some of the logging might be a result of the backport from 2.5.29ab. At least that's what the page for the patch seems to say.

--Could some folks give me help on compiling a profiling version of the core? i'd like to see where 2/5 of my CPU goes. i'd need fairly specific directions on compiling and more general ones for how to run it.

And of course, some idea as to whether it's going to corrupt all the files i'm trying to download, frag my disks to sand, and completely expunge the remaining vestiges of my sorry social life.

ocaml -v:
Code:
Standard library directory: /usr/local/lib/ocaml

Anyway, with patch pack 28r config finds ocaml with no problem Smile
