This is the right place for your post.
The best version of 16 releases is 16w3, I have used it and it works well with Fasttrak/ed2k/FileTP/BT.
The new 17pre4 is good and stable release, I suggest to give a try to Mulus cause there should be a backcompatibility with config files.
I sugest you to backup your configs..Mulus has a little issue by managing the stats and servers INIs. Perhaps Knoker has already corrected this.
Your update shoud be quick and easy....
Mulus has features wchich worth trying.
There are thereads about optimizing configs in 16 releases... I simply suggest to select as "preferred" the MAIN servers razorback and Dnkeyserves and similar and configre your client to connect only to "preferred servers"... |

I would suggest the last 0.17.4pre from
http://www.mldonkey.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?p=34861#34861
The only problem why it is still a "pre"-version lies in some glitches in the Web-Interface. But only minor ones.

Why do you think Mulus isn't ready for use?
Is it the versionnumber? eMules are also still well below 1.0, IIRC 0.47.

Oops what exactly?
Could you report this to the "Mulus 0.17.4pre"-Thread? |

AFAICS 0.46c is the current version. I think there are some changes to the
protocol because for several days I have this in the logfile:

I have to explain better, I see my explanation is wrong.
I have told about a problem having by updating(changing executable by mantaing old INIs config files) from an older Mulus/mlnet release to the last 17pre4.
The first time I have launched the new Pre4 , the core was unable to run cause he doesn't like older stats.ini...
You have than sent to me a new one in which is implemented a workoround... in fact the new core has sucessfully managed stat's INI but exits with error while managing server.ini.(error about overnet error-I don't remind....).
I have overnet disabled, so I have edited manually the server.ini removing overnet peers list.
Relaunching the last core with such manual cleaning was succesfully.
After this , I'm running the new core with satisfaction.
I have called this "issue" to advise about a marginal risk.
Cause your solution is workaround/I have solved the server.ini problem by my own(But Mulus could be innocent )/ I'm not sure about what Sub-Sub-release of 17pre4 is currently in download page.... I fear someone could stuck on this problems.
Hope is clear now.

Very Thanks for your help ! You are very nice!
I try to download this file, But I can't. It sent me a error.
Does The last mulus version work with overnet ?
Does Mldonkey version 2.5.16w-3 work with overnet?
can you say me advices about configuration to download more fast?
Do you have someone manual to read?
Thank you very much again !!! I am too happy because I used to ask in forums from spain and they didn't know anything or they didn't want to answer me. |

Overnet works in 16w3... I suppose overnet is still working in the new mulus.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The overnet implementation in 16 releases (and Mulus branch too) is affected by a memory leak.
I suppose you have your memory growing to unmanegable sizes in 3-4 days.(you have to restart mulus evcery 2 days while using overnet)
So I hardly suggest to use mulus/16w3 with ed2k/BT/FileTP(web transfers) only to have a low memory usage.
Fasttrak is also usable without leaks in 16w3/Mulus (who needs fasttrak?? ).
If you absolutely need overnet/kademlis I suggest to look towards 2.6.x releases.
You have to choose between Emule_comments and other nice fearures, web interface nice modifications (+backcompatibility od config files ) of Mulus and robustness and stability of G2/G/Kad/Overnet in 2.6.x mldonkey releases.
In fact G2/G are removed from Mulus.
Mulus is focused on maximize efficiency and stability of ed2k plugin (in fact you can reach all kademlia with source/exchange and I suppose the majoity of eDonkers).
the ed2k implemnation of Mulus is very robust and well tuned.
This is a classic tradeoff problem.

This is a thread in a german mldonkey forum. You can find links to the last 0.17.4pre Cores there. |
