Hi all,
Once again, I've recently seen somebody with NOD32 antivirus with CPU problems (it maybe also occured with nvidia's firewall).
And I just reinstalled NOD32... with mldonkey running; no reboot needed, mldonkey started using all CPU power and I had a rare download that was about to finish. :/
NOD32 is modular and IMON is the Internet MONitor part, responsible of the problem.
I think mldonkey (under windows of course) should check if IMON is installed and then if an exception is set so IMON doesn't bother mldonkey.
As far as I see it involves reading the registry.
Before I set the excetpion,
| Code: |
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Eset\Nod\CurrentVersion\Modules\Imon\Settings\Config000\Settings\exclude_list: "" |
After,
| Code: | | HKLM\SOFTWARE\Eset\Nod\CurrentVersion\Modules\Imon\Settings\Config000\Settings\exclude_list: "D:\Programs\P2P\mldonkey\mlnet.exe" |
I'd tell Eset (NOD32's editor) about this but I have no idea how NOD32 could then recognize a legit mlnet.exe.
(I'm running mldonkey as a service)
BTW, this also happened with µTorrent on a friend's computer.
Could this be added ?
Thanks.
PS: it seems they decided to play with registry rights so I can't see the involved registry part at the moment.
I guess SYSTEM is still allowed. sudo anyone ?
(and don't tell me "Run As...", it doesn't know SYSTEM...)
I'll ask Eset to make something so the application can known if it is monitored or not. |

Hum.., I really need a Windows LiveCD to see if they changed registry rights.
Also, Eset team does not seem that easy to communicate with. |

| How do you enable utorrent connection through nod32 firewall? My Nod32 firewall seems to be blocking uTorrent internet access. What settings do I need to change? |

Sorry, you asked in the wrong place. This is the MLDonkey support forum, not uTorrent. _________________ Link overview and precompiled cores here: http://mldonkey.sourceforge.net/DownloadLinks |
