Hi.
Could you, please, give me a hint (link or keywords) on the mechanism which is used to save parts of downloading file so there is no another informational file with table of valid parts. I'm very interested in how does mldonkey continues downloads when there is only temp folder (with file names as hash of the downloading info), but how does it know, which parts are still need to be downloaded?
Thank you. |

recover_temp is the command used for this.
This mechanism only works for EDK files, their filename in temp dir is the
same as the hash of the complete file. Together with its filesize a EDK
server query is done for this file to find sources for it. These sources are
then queried for the hashes of the chunks the file consists of. These chunk
hashes are then used to determine whether a chunk of the file in temp dir
is complete or not. Thats the reason why partially completed chunks are
discarded when recover_temp is used, they can not be verified because
MLDonkey does not support AICH.
A file without sources on the net can not be recovered because MLDonkey
is unable to get the chunk hashes. _________________ Link overview and precompiled cores here: http://mldonkey.sourceforge.net/DownloadLinks |
