removing folders from the shared files

Very Happy Very Happy so quite new to ml donkey i usually use amule but would like to be able to use both


problem is whenever i try to go into the shared files where the albums end up and try to remove the ones i do not want to keep sharing it tells me no access you do not have ownership ML donkey has ownership

so what is the command from the interface that i need to write to remove folders there?

please keep explanations quite simple i am new to this here


i am sure it is simple once you know i have looked at the documentation and do not see the command i am looking for

so quite a while now and no reply


surely one of you must know

the files are there /var/lib/mldonkey/incoming/files and i do not want to keep and or share all of them so how do i remove them ? any idea?



this is what it look like




it says you are not the owner so what do i need to write in the console to become the owner or be able to delete files

Well I'm no Linux expert, but the folders appear to be created by the user "mldonkey" - and it appears that you are logged into Ubuntu as "shantiq", so you won't be able to delete those folders because you don't own them.

You can either login to your machine as user "mldonkey" and delete them, or log in as the super user or root and delete them.

I *think* you can use the "sudo" command in ubuntu - that is 'super user do'. Something like:
sudo rm <directory>

It will then ask you for the root password.

PS - the MLDonkey support forums are a quite place, shhhhh.
