Updated! 3.1.0CVS is out
download cores from:
http://fabtar.comlu.com/

Let me know if archives and cores works well.

The cores are compiled as usual but I have added a "force always UTF8 patch" Smile I need feeback aout this change.

Currently only arm/armle bytecode cores are pending, I hope to release this night.

Update

bytecode cores have been released.
Archive location is in my signature
Have fun

As usual, bytecode cores are less optimized version (is code which is interpreted by a bundled vm)

@fabtar

hardware: nslu2 (266mhz)
OS: debian (kernel 2.6.26-1-ixp4xx)
version: normal

after 1 day everything seems to works just fine.
I've just changed the path in the starting script that starts mlnet and loads the external libraries (I left the same from version 3.0.5)

Welcome back Fabtar!

Great job!
I installed your precompiled 3.1 core version on my Qnap TS-109 Pro II: everything is ok!

Thank you very much for your support!

See you to the next release. Wink

Sandokan.

Thanks for feedback. Luckly my compilation enviroment is still sane.

I have also fixed few problems, I have re-added sui compilation in arm's normal cores (users have to disable SUI manually in case they need)

Hi MLDonkey developers,

i installed fabtar's precompiled core v3.1.0 full on my nas (Qnap TS-109 Pro II), i often see many sequential messages like this:

Code:
2011/11/05 00:40:36 [bS] recvfrom failed: Resource temporarily unavailable : unexpected exn exec can_read

even without downloading files and without any shared file.

Furthermore, i receive these messages immediatly after a successful download:

Code:
2011/11/05 00:46:47 [cSw] find_range: file temp/urn_ed2k_4ED081351D1A10DE4A09CAEC05067659 in bad state FileDownloaded
2011/11/05 00:46:52 [cSw] find_range: file temp/urn_ed2k_4ED081351D1A10DE4A09CAEC05067659 in bad state FileDownloaded
2011/11/05 00:46:56 [cSw] find_range: file temp/urn_ed2k_4ED081351D1A10DE4A09CAEC05067659 in bad state FileShared
2011/11/05 00:47:03 [cSw] find_range: file temp/urn_ed2k_4ED081351D1A10DE4A09CAEC05067659 in bad state FileShared
2011/11/05 00:47:04 [cSw] find_range: file temp/urn_ed2k_4ED081351D1A10DE4A09CAEC05067659 in bad state FileShared
2011/11/05 00:47:04 [cSw] find_range: file temp/urn_ed2k_4ED081351D1A10DE4A09CAEC05067659 in bad state FileShared

Apparently it happens only with multimedia files (like .mp3 or .avi).
No problems downloading other file types (.rar, .zip).

I tried to disable magic libraries (i renamed the containig folder, so MLDonkey says "[dMain] Libmagic file-type recognition database not present"), but nothing changes.

I started to see the first log error message with the 3.1.0 MLDonkey version, while the second (if i remember correctly) there was even in the 3.0.2 version.

What could it be?
Should I be worried?

Thanks.

Sandokan.

P.S. Sorry for my bad english...

... thinking ..
I have disabled libmagic support in miniamal, normal and normal db cause libmagic needs not only the library but the Database info. I have not bundled libmagic database so I have chosen to disable it
The full release comes with libmagic support but the database has to be presenet in your os.

Is there any mldonkey option which enale/disable libmagic(file recognition)?

oh, I have missed part of your message. I have understood you are using the full release, I have not changed things about that release.

But the files are correctly renamed? Or the download is not committed?

The only change is a an UTF8 patch. Neutral Sad Smile

I suppose I have to release debug versions.

@Sandokan

you have to clarify this:
are the file correctly committed and renamed in incoming folder? Are they usable? Does this cause a mldonkey's crash?

Experiments:
May you try the normal_gd version too?
May you try using my updated bundled libraries? (I don't know if there are updates but you can check if the libraries are changed)

@Spiralvoice/Ygrek

perhaps may the UTF patch conflict ?

GOOD news,

I have these errors in logfile from... ever. (I never look into my logs in the last few years) and I have not disk damage or corrupted downloads.
I'm still using the old 3.0.5 and my QNAP box has not the libmagic database.

These errors are not a good things but they are not so dangerous.
