mlnet: error while loading shared libraries: libmagic.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

(PM still not working, answering here):

Mrko, how did you install my package? There are dependencies written in the IPK metadata which should've been satisfied by the ipkg utility during installation. These include the following packages: libnatpmp, miniupnpc, bzip2, zlib, file, libjpeg, fontconfig, freetype, libpng, libgd - of which all except the first two exist in the Optware repository (http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/cs08q1armel/cross/unstable, depending on the Optware configuration). Maybe you forgot to call 'ipkg update' before installation and the libraries did not install automatically. You may download and install them manually however, as you should with libnatpmp and miniupnpc.

After everything is installed, make sure that /opt/lib directory is listed in the ld search path - either in the /etc/ld.so.conf file or in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable, the latter is easy to set in the mldonkey startup script. If you choose to edit ld.so.conf, don't forget to run ldconfig after all libraries are installed, and be aware that /etc directory is not preserved during reboot (unless you put your data in the /mnt/ext and make a symlink to a proper place at boot time).

Ok, thnx. I will try it this weekend.

I thought i used ipkg update before installing mlnet... Shouldn't there be a file with Libmagic in the opt/lib folder?

Recently I updated to MLDonkey 3.1.0. It is working fine and added folders for sharing files. Unfortunately, this list doesn't update dcshared (it's empty).

How can I update the filelist for dcshared?
