Future of Main/Howtos section?

Lots of stuff there is hopelessly outdated, what about deactivating this whole section so
users are no longer confused and go directly to the Wiki pages?

Most of stuff there is from end 2002 and should be present in the Wiki already.

I agree, little info is still relevant, and removing them would lessen users' confusion.

We still need to update the FAQ and to write a beginners' guide in the Wiki, however

Yes, they are really outdated.

I can't remember ever seen them. Somehow the link Howtos must have slipped my mouse

Ok, I removed "Howtos" from the Main section and renamed "Wiki" to "Wiki / Howtos".
