It looks like it's not doing this notification, only the "I completed it!" and the total downloaded size showing on trackers is the latest status report sent when downloading a torrent.

Example: a torrent of 50MB completed in minutes, shows total downloaded 0B but marked as completed.

I remember other users reporting this, can you send me via PM a testcase,
so I can try to reproduce and fix this? Maybe MLDonkey will then be allowed
on more private trackers in the future Wink

I'm seeing in some private trackers that the reported "total downloaded" is a little lower than the true downloaded value.

I think you can send problematic .torrent(s) via PM to spiralvoice.
I think that reproducible cases are the best way to help him Very Happy

Did you restart MLDonkey while downloading the torrent?
This would be another testcase...

now that you say, if my memory doesn't fail I've got around 400-500MB already downloaded when I killed the core to setup the new binary.

MLDonkey only reports the amount of data downloaded in the current
session with the current patch.

Should it report the total amount of data downloaded for the file as a whole?
If yes, try this patch.

maybe the correct procedure should be that, report the total downloaded amount *when* sending the completed signal to the tracker.

did anyone have a look on other opensource torrent clients to see how they do the report to tracker?

Not when restarting the client during download.
