hello again!
Been using this new build since sunday and for it's really good. fast and stable ^^
About the issue around tracker downloaded size notification, I've done some new test and I will be doing a few more in the coming days (once I rebuild my ratio ;))
Test 1: 4,14GB file, downloaded in one run (4h). reported as completed and downloaded total 4,14GB ---> OK
Test 2: 4,21GB file, downloaded 300MB one week ago with a previous build. Downloaded the rest in one run with the newest build. reported as completed and downloaded total 4,23GB ---> OK (those few extra mb I supose they are some droped packets or corrupt chunks).
Next day I'm going to download around 80%, kill the core and download the rest to see the total reported size.
For now, first impression seems it's working fine, since test 2 (also with a big file) failed with the previous build.
thank's for the great work. see you soon :)~ |

back again (got a new dsl 3 times faster ^^)
some more testing:
4,38GB --- downloaded around 3GB. killed core. the rest straight. reported to tracker 4,37GB
4,38GB (another) --- download 400MB. killed core. the rest straight. reported to tracker 4,15GB
this fix still needs some tuning, utorrent that I used in the past reported the correct downloaded size :m? so it's not a tracker problem. |

This looks good.

This should also have been reported as correct value... Maybe the tracker
was unable to process the last data sent by MLDonkey when it finished the
download? Can you please do some more testing? Maybe even sniff the
traffic MLDonkey sends to the tracker to see if it receives a correct ACK?
MLDonkey verbosity "hc" (http_client) maybe also helpful. _________________ Link overview and precompiled cores here: http://mldonkey.sourceforge.net/DownloadLinks |

Committed some patches to CVS for easier testing:
| Quote: | 2007/09/01
6179: BT: Send correct downloaded amount to tracker when download completed
6174: BT: Encode non-UTF8 filenames using "encoding" or "codepage" data
from .torrent if present
2007/08/31
6175: Yet another patch for share_scan_interval
- new default 30 minutes for newly created ini files
- still use 0 to disable
- hard-coded global minimum of 5 minutes, this updates old default 1 to 5
- automated options update, if update is needed (options_version <= 19) and
share_scan_interval = 5 (because of new hard-coded minimum, which is
processed earlier) its changed to new default of 30 |

I'll keep testing but I need some days as I have to keep my ratio leveled.
1.91 GB torrent, downloaded in one run, reported 1.91 GB --> OK |

Do not use CVS 2007/09/01 for downloading multifile torrents:

6187: BT: Fix wrong file order of multifile torrents due to patch #6174 |

I think I'll update the ARM cores and PowerPC cores this weekend.
At the moment there are not news about a common problem with linkstation's users.
It seems like their Linux has modified glibc and kernel.I'm always looking around in order to solve this issue.
I think I'll add a copy of my libraries in the distrib archive (for desperate guys).. _________________ ARM,ARMEL,MIPS,MIPSEL,POWERPC mldonkey cores: http://fabtar.ygrek.org.ua/ |

confirmation. latest build seems to be working great and also it's very stable.
not a single lookup (like the ones we had with the firsts builds).
keep in mind that now I download 4 times faster (now 10mbit) and my little box is running like a demon, full speed whitout any problems
keep up the good work ^^*! |

@Zeus
Thaks for feedback
little question&curiosity (ok there are more).
Have you downloaded a library package (not mine, I have reminds you have done this in order to install your first mldonkey)?, how have you managed to use those libraries?Have you copied them into /usr/lib ? Have you used LD_LIBRARY... variable?
Have you modified ld.so.conf? _________________ ARM,ARMEL,MIPS,MIPSEL,POWERPC mldonkey cores: http://fabtar.ygrek.org.ua/ |

got the libraries from this package http://rapidshare.com/files/49215540/mldonkey-libs.tar.gz (mirrored by me). I found them on the same page where I downloaded build 2.8.2 (and later 2.8.7).
I copied the libraries that weren't already on my /lib folder and the created symbolic links:
ln -s /lib/libxxxxx.so.1.1.1 /lib/libxxxxx.so.1
ln -s /lib/libxxxxx.so.1 /lib/libxxxxx.so
at all, If my memory doesn't fail, I only needed to add 4 or 5 libraries.
I haven't touched ld.so.conf by myself. Maybe when I "optwared" my nas it was modified, but I don't know.[/url] |

sorry for not reporting in the last days.
I'm actually testing a lot the last 2.9.0 build working really fine here.
I need to hold updating to 2.9.1 as it isn't allowed in some trackers I use (for now). |
