Hi,

I have problems updating to the latest mldonkey release on my gigabit nas.
I need a .tgz file to update via the webgui.

Also, I am on a 20/2mbit connection, but my download speeds arent exceeding 120kb/s!?.. I already have set download speed to '0'.. any other options?

Thanks for the help. Appreciate it.

Regards

Please give me more details, your exact NAS model and hardware specifications(processor).
Look at my signature's links to find out pre-compiled binaries and guides.

Your update procedure via a "WebGUI" sounds quite strange also.

I suggest to set a reasonable upload speed at 120 Kbyte/sec (about half of your upload bandwith), and set download speed to max 1500Kbyte/sec.
To saturate upload or download are never good ideas.
Sometimes it is impossible to saturate download with few downloads, you need to download more files with lot of sources at once.
Gaining high download speeds is a common issue of ed2k network.

Zeus has added console/ssh support on his synology ds-207:

(spanish)

about SSH
http://luna.elotrolado.net/2007/08/habilitar-el-servicio-ssh/

I don't know if these instructions are helpful, I don't know if they are right for your box.
I have also found:
http://www.synology.com/enu/support/download.php
http://www.nas-forum.com/forum/index.php?act=home

By using the wrong procedure for your NAS , you risk to brik your box.

TS, you can download the latest build (full) 3.0.0 from here. This core is compiled for PCI NAS-01G and should work on your NAS as well. Cool
