| After a computer shutdown, I erased mlnet.exe.pid and restarted the client (as I often do). It runs fine, I can see the old downloads in the browser as well as add new ones, but it no longer sees any sources, and the download and upload rate are always zero. What could be the reason??? |

How about server connections?
Have you Lowid?
What is your network topology?(router, direct usb modem?) _________________ ARM,ARMEL,MIPS,MIPSEL,POWERPC mldonkey cores: http://fabtar.ygrek.org.ua/ |

| I'm connected to 3 or 4 servers with LowID. I'm connected behind a router which I cannot control, so I cannot get a highID (is this correct? I couldn't find much info about it), but it was downloading and seeding fine up until the problem started. |

2 servers suffice all the needs...
Perhaps your files have no sources and there are no requests.
Please try doing a new search choose a file with lot of sources and try starting the new download.
It is quite difficul to track the problem...
have you seen something strange into mldonkey's log? _________________ ARM,ARMEL,MIPS,MIPSEL,POWERPC mldonkey cores: http://fabtar.ygrek.org.ua/ |

I don't think that's the problem. At some point, some of my downloads had many sources listed in the sources column (>10, one with >200), but the download rate is still 0. How come???
They were downloading quite well, and then they all "died" at once. Some activity has resumed since, but only sometimes and very marginal (max 10kbs) compared to before (>100kbs). Most of the time the download rate is still 0
Does this give any clues as to how to track the problem? |
