This fits with my hypotesis being the visualized results equivalent with amule's local server search.

wait until Razorback 2.0 is connected.
Search for "sin city dvdrip spanish SEDG" and you will get 2040 sources, 1078 of them complete.
The problem seems to be that when MLDonkey searches several servers,
the data of the first server reporting results are taken to determine
availability and complete_sources. Values, which maybe higher, from later
results by other queried servers are ignored. I am investigating and if I
can find a solution I will post a patch. |
I've tried what you say in MLNet 2.7.2.CVS but nothing... Are you testing in Mac OS X? |

| MLNet 2.7.2.CVS connects perfectly to Razorback 2.0, but the search results are very poor. |

What do you exactly mean with that?
Do you get search results or not?
Searching "sin city dvdrip spanish SEDG" finds 11 files with various availabilities, same with eMule. _________________ Link overview and precompiled cores here: http://mldonkey.sourceforge.net/DownloadLinks |

Perhaps KXT has pointed on the different number of avaiable sources reported by the search.
Explaining better..the entries are the same but the effective numebr of sources detected are not as much as in emule. This is not good cause trusted file diffusion is a good tool for planning what is valauble for download |

Exactly! That's what I meant(I fear my english is bad, sorry). Mldonkey finds 11 files(this is ok), but the number of sources detected for each file is very low("Sin City (DVDRip Spanish XviD 1.0.3 - AC3 5.1)(SEDG).avi" has 80 sources instead of 1800, for example). Thanks for explain it fabtar

First (small) server sends result with 40 sources, second (big) server sends
result with 2000 sources. MLdonkey displays only the first result with 40
sources although it received info about the 2000 sources... Patch is in progress...
@KXT: no need for SSH login, the behaviour you see is normal with current MLDonkey code on all platforms _________________ Link overview and precompiled cores here: http://mldonkey.sourceforge.net/DownloadLinks |

Although was MLDonkey only conected to 1 server? Ok, then I'll await for the patch.
Thanks for all |

Problem seems to be fixed in current MLDonkey CVS.
If you use Sancho GUI you also need to update to latest version:
| Quote: | 2006/01/18:
* Search: support result updating
- If mldonkey reports X sources for a result but later finds that same result
on another server with >X sources, it now sends an update for this result
(requires latest mldonkey) |

Is this related to patch #4810?
| Code: |
+(* Update specific tags to highest value *)
+let rec find_tag2 new_tag tags =
+ match tags with
|
Then why should we update to the highest value? Sources on different servers are distinct and can be summed.
How does this relate to found sources per UDP. Does this patch count these, too? |
